This Antique Red Wing Union Stoneware Crock No. 6 with Bail Handles and the signature 4” Red Wing logo design has the Patent Date of December 5th, 1915 stamped just below the rim near one of the handles. It is 14” tall, 12 1/2” across the rim or 14” including the handles, and 12” across the base. There are the 3 stamped marks on the front, the stylized 6, the 4” Red Wing, and the Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. Logo Circle Stamp with Red Wing, Minn., which also helps date it. I do not have the original lid, the wire on one of the handles was bent so that it could fold over the rim as I show in my photos, and there is some slight wear around the base rim, but overall this crock is in very good condition considering its age and previous use. I will be removing the handles for shipping and before you put them back on you will have the option of flattening the one handle if desired, but I am leaving that option up to its new owner.
