Looking for a day time care provider for adult male with severe autism. Semi verbal individual who requires 24/7 supervision and assistance.
Duties may include but not limited to:
-giving medication
-providing drinks food
-providing occasional assistance in the restroom; but ensuring that he does not overflow the toilet
-acting as a private DJ by typing requested songs into his Ipad (he knows how but likes the interaction of this)
-swimming with or monitoring him while he swims in our pool
Would prefer a male provider or a strong female as he can be aggressive with pinching.
Could be perfect for a student taking night classes or self paced online classes, who could work on assignments during down time with client.
While experience with profound autism is preferred, it is not necessary if you are willing to learn and are compassionate.
There will often be a parent on premises and we do have cameras in home to monitor him as well.
