This van with the 6.2L V8 diesel engine and four speed transmission with overdrive starts, stops, and drives reliably without any smoke from the dual exhaust tailpipes. EPA fuel economy rated at 22mpg on the highway. Has good tires with no abnormal wear and lots of tread left. No significant rust on the body or chassis. Swamp cooler on roof is functional and does not leak in heavy rain. Ladder rack recently added. All lights working reliably.

-Oil and filter change at 16K on the odometer. True mileage unknown.
-New brake shoes, pads, hoses, caliper pins and fluid change.
-Steering linkage and wheel bearing rebuild followed by professional alignment.
-All engine belts and hoses replaced and adjusted.
-Fuel system overhaul with new injectors, fuel pump, and fuel filter/water separator upgrade.
-New glow plugs and manual glow plug actuator.
-Optima Yellow Top batteries. Starts right up even after sitting for three months. battery cables and alternator also replaced.
-New rear leaf spring packs.
-New door seals all around.
-Tow package with 2” receiver hitch and 7-pin connector for trailers with brakes.
-New windshield.
-Retro Sound stereo; classic looking modern head unit chrome with Chevrolet badge.
-Independent dual exhaust system.
I installed a Prodigy 2 brake controller and drove the van 450 miles round trip in two days hauling a car with the cargo compartment full. No problem keeping up with traffic and cruising at 65 mph. The brakes and trailer braking action are excellent. The transmission is equipped with an external cooler for enhanced reliability.
Parts are cheap and widely available. Smog exempt in CA. No computer monitoring, 100% mechanical simplicity. Ready to drive anywhere. Title in my name, registered through October 2026.
