Comer Communications is seeking a skilled Commercial Access Control & Security Camera Technician with strong networking experience to join our growing team. This position involves installing, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial security systems including access control, IP camera systems, and supporting network infrastructure. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Install and service commercial access control systems
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP security camera systems
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, fiber preferred)
• Diagnose and repair system and connectivity issues
• Program and commission security systems
• Work from blueprints, schematics, and site drawings
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Maintain accurate job documentation
Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience in commercial security or low-voltage installation
• Experience with access control platforms and IP camera systems
• Network experience a plus
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/lifts
• Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting skills
