Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the logging processor equipment in a safe and proficient manner.
- Process trees into logs with high precision and efficiency while adhering to quality standards.
- Monitor and inspect logs for defects, ensuring only the highest-quality timber is processed.
- Collaborate with the logging team to optimize production and meet daily targets.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on the equipment to ensure its optimal performance.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace.
- The operator will be responsible for greasing their machine daily along with checking fluids and blowing out air filters.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a logging processor is essential.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Knowledge of forestry regulations and safety standards.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions and rugged terrains.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
