We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Carpenter with strong plan reading experience to join our construction team. This role is hands-on and involves building from foundation through finish work. Crew leadership experience is a plus. The ideal candidate brings solid carpentry skills, the ability to interpret construction documents, and the leadership to help keep projects on schedule and on quality residential builds.

Key Responsibilities
• Carpentry Work
o Perform framing, interior and exterior wall construction, stair building, and installation of doors and windows
o Execute work with high precision and attention to detail to meet quality standards
• Plan Reading and Layout
o Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and drawings
o Coordinate layout and implementation with project management
• Crew Leadership (Preferred)
o Lead and coordinate on-site crew activities
o Assign tasks and communicate schedules and expectations
o Mentor and support less experienced carpenters
• Foundation and Structural Work
o Assist with foundation layout and construction
o Ensure work meets building codes and structural requirements
o Coordinate with engineers and inspectors as needed
• Material Management
o Assist with estimating and ordering materials
o Track usage and minimize waste to stay on budget
• Safety Compliance
o Enforce jobsite safety standards and protocols
o Participate in safety meetings and inspections
o Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Problem Solving
o Identify construction issues early
o Develop practical solutions to maintain schedule and quality

Qualifications
• Journeyman-level carpentry experience in residential construction
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans
• Crew leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of building codes and safety practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
