ArcSine Engineering, a Redding-based consulting firm, is looking for an industrial electrician.
ArcSine's disciplines include electrical, instrumentation/controls, mechanical, and process/process control. For most candidates this represents a transition from a practioner to a field savvy office/field professional. ArcSine's practical approach to work is achieved through hiring people with hands on electrical and/or control systems experience. The job includes construction support including field investigations, constructability reviews, submittal reviews, cost estimating, and construction observation. Most of the individuals in this role grow into design responsibilities, and other consulting duties. ArcSine's clients value the firm's problem solving persona, and the people who have had (and have) this job report that the experience is a rewarding extension of their hands-on career. In many cases electricians have retired from ArcSine, with their work at ArcSine representing the capstone of their careers. Whether this is a full time or part time position is somewhat negotiable.
A combination of experience and aptitude are what is needed, with starting compensation depending on where you fit withing the firm's structure. Applicable experience can include low voltage, medium voltage, motor control, industrial automation, instrumentation and controls, low voltage systems such as fire/access control/video/intrusion/etc., installation experience, or maintenance experience.
