Duties and required skills:

Inspect residential, commercial, and industrial properties
Identify pest activity and conditions conducive to infestation
Determine and implement appropriate treatment plans
Apply pesticides and control solutions safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations
Communicate with customers regarding service, treatment plans, expectations, and follow-up
Provide preventative recommendations to reduce the risk of future pest infestations
Maintain accurate and detailed service records
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pesticide regulations and policies
Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle while traveling to and from client sites
Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies in clean, organized, and safe condition
Uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service
Utilize mobile service applications and digital tools for routing, documentation, and communication
Maintain professional and timely communication with office staff and team members
Qualifications and Requirements
Valid California Structural Pest Control License – Branch 2 (Field Representative or Applicator) preferred.
Candidates who are not currently licensed are encouraged to apply.
As a condition of continued employment, unlicensed candidates must obtain either a California Structural Pest Control
Applicator License or a Field Representative License within 90 days of hire.
Candidates who obtain an Applicator License within the initial 90-day period will be granted an additional 90 days to
obtain their Field Representative License.
Candidates may also obtain a Field Representative License directly and are not
required to obtain an Applicator License first.
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of pest control methods, materials, safety procedures, and applicable regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Proficiency in email management and professional correspondence
Ability to work independently, manage a daily service route, and make sound decisions in the field
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements
Familiarity with mobile service applications and digital documentation tools
Regularly lift, hoist, secure, and carry equipment, materials, and products weighing up to 50 pounds, including wearing
and operating a 50-lb backpack sprayer for extended periods.
Repetitive overhead reaching/arm movements, with extended periods of web removal
Climb and safely use ladders
Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in low-clearance areas for inspections, baiting, and trap placement
Access attics, crawlspaces, basements, rooftops, and confined spaces
Work outdoors in hot, cold, rainy, and varying weather conditions
Work in dusty, damp, dirty, or pest-active environments
Tolerate exposure to pesticides, animal waste, insects, rodents, and related odors
Mix, load, transport, apply, and handle pesticides in accordance with directions and safety standards
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, respirators, and protective clothing
Reliability Requirement:
This position requires a high level of reliability and dependability. The employee must consistently demonstrate strong
work ethic, punctuality, and accountability. This includes arriving on time, adhering to assigned schedules, completing
assignments thoroughly and within established timeframes, and remaining dependable in both routine and unexpected
situations. The technician must work independently without constant supervision, maintain consistent communication
with customers and team members, and promptly report issues that may impact service or scheduling.
